....referring to above picture we've all been barraged by for awhile now? Or would you wait 'til he flew and take a sporting shot?
I have been eyeing that dove for 4 months now, sort of like a cat at the fish bowl, and at this point......well....... |

I wouldn't ground swat or tree shoot a grouse, so I guess I wouldn't the dove either. However, I wouldn't have a problem picking him off with a .22 |

I was dove hunting once on public property and some fool across the pond began shooting .22s at doves sitting in trees near him. the bullets were whizzing by real close to where I was on the other side of the pond! So I don't shoot doves sitting but I was real tempted to shoot at those who do.

No way. Don't know if I'm a gentleman sportsman. No ground swatting either. I have doves feeding in my yard, Last year had three pair, so far only one pair have showed up. Had two grouse sitting in a tree in the backyard yesterday. Drumming going on all around me. |

I would throw a rock and make him fly. After that, all bets are off.

I'd hope you'd at least "tree limb" and eat the dove before going after my lab or cat....... |

Duncan - you must live on some strange planet - antelope sitting on a wire and being hunted with .22's - you sure they're antelope, like with horns & hooves?
I personally voted for a new graphic - perhaps one donated by a board member - something to typify the 16 ga cartridge - doesn't have to be hunting related either.
I've got a few ideas cooking already...anyone here good with photoshop, etc. and would be willing to help me pull something together? |

You are all full of donkey dust. If you were hungry enough and needed food, you'd all shoot that dove, ground shoot pheasants, run over deer or what ever you had to do to eat.
I'm not talking about just wanting to eat a dove either. I'm talking about you are HUNGRY. YOU NEED FOOD.
You'd do it. |

I agree, we really need a new graphic. I've never tasted Dove, or shot one.
Remember, it's illegal in Michigan. Treehuggers voted it down.
But a new grapic design for 16 gauge guns would be cool.
How about a nice 16 gauge Parker Hammer Gun? |

How about crossed Merkel 1620s with a Fox and a Smith under them.
Or a pic of an A5, 1620, LC, Sterly all lined up with some vintage ammo boxes around them. |
