XVI'er and I have discussed holding a 16 Gauge Shoot May 19th at Alpine Range, just a few miles South of Ft Worth. They have a Clays Course, as well as Trap and Skeet.
There is a nearby BBQ Joint, for a after shoot gathering.
I just wanted to gauge the interest - so please let us know. |

Hey Postoak,

We had a good turn out, and perfect weather to shoot in.
Along with any shotgunning skill I ever had, I forgot to bring a Camera, Andy C was taking some photos, so perhaps XVI'er will get a copy to post. |

As soon as I will can do on the pics! We all had a great time, and again the guns of our brother 16ers did not disappoint! Got to see my first RBL with exhibition wood drool! Beautiful!
Also Postoak's french doubles were very interesting. All in all a fun shoot.
New shooters that joined us were MCHunter & ole cowboy. We had a great time but it did get warm! A difficult presentation on 2, 4, 8, and 10. I found out that I'm no George Digweed!! But then again , who is.
All you guys out there that enjoy meeting our fellow brothers need to hold shoots of your own, there a blast!!! |

Me - Postoak trying to catch a True Pair
Waiting the Presentations, and ribbin XVI'er !
XVI'er demostrates "Nose over Toes"
MCHunter showing us how to do it ! Good Shooting Mark !
MCHunter at it again, getting on the second Clay, he broke it also.
A hit and a miss, I am pumping as best I can.
Heck yes it is a Winchester ! Says Ole Cowboy to XVI'er, while his Grandson listens in.
Dreaming of Fall and the opening of Bird Season !

Glad you had a good time! It was definitely a treat for me. Next time, I hope our ranks swell to twice the number!
I now find I have an intense hatred of small orange disks, flying through the air. |

You only hate 'em when I beat your score
Hi, guys - figured it's about time I joined the forum - thanks to the various 16 Ga Society members for the very enjoyable times I've had with you to date. Thanks once again to Postoak for the loan of the lovely Rizzini (one day you will be mine - oh, yes, you will be mine...)
Here's to me learning some more about this mysterious 16 Ga... *clink* |
