16ga.com ~ View topic - Anyone heard from Kevin Downrange Manufacturing

Has anyone heard from Kevin about the possibility of a 16 ga wad being produced by Downrange? I remember about 5-6 months ago that was a pretty hot topic but it seems to have gone away.

Is no news good news or is the project DOA?

I had talked to him around the end of Feb. and posted abouted it. He pretty much sounded like it was a no-go. He had been following the board for a while and from what he said, was not seeing the amount of agreement on what people wanted. He just wasn't sure that the sales would justify the expense of setup, afterall, there aren't near the numbers of 16 ga. wads sold as even getting just a share of the 12 ga. market. He did mention that he knew of a couple of other guys that had been looking at the 16 also, but nobody was seeing the numbers they wanted.
He did say at that time that he thought Charles was on the right track with his development. The difference is that Charles is working on his wad partially out of an affection for the 16 and not just a strictly business approach that Downrange has to have.

Kevin, good to see you still lurking in the shadows. I do some of my best work that way. Unfortunately, I can't go into detail about that because the statute of limitations has not expired yet.
