I took a 25# Iowa gobbler with an old Stevens 16. Used the Federal Mags--1 1/4 oz copper plated 6's. |

I've got a Stevens 16ga, too, and a Browning A5 16ga. Never been turkey hunting with either, but a turkey wouldn't have a chance. Also have a Remington 16 ga single barrel, full choke, 36 in barrel, that will get some
chances at a turkey shoot. Load with #4's and see the feathers fly!! |

I've used my Western Arms Corp. (Ithaca) Long Range Gun to take a gobbler and let a friend's kid used it to take another longbeard. It worked fine with regular #6 field loads...one shot, one flop and smiles all around...except from the toms. I like my Ithaca's mid-rib bead when turkey hunting. |
