Hello Everyone,
Sorry this is so late. The combat stress counselors told me not to lay around and get to work when I got home. I landed at 1420 01 May and went to work at 0600 03 May. Really nice hauling fuel with no ragheads shooting at me. I want to thank all of you for your friendship and support while I was in Iraq. It was a hell of an experience and it is sooooo great to be home. I probably stayed too long but I fell in love with our troops. Their courage and dedication is very inspiring.
I enjoyed reading the thread on dealers. I have shopped for guns more since I found this site than I had in years. I have bought 4 on Auction Arms and all have been very nice and described accurately. I did find an L C Smith 16ga on a site while looking for old car parts so I would encourage searching different places. It was a lucky shot I guess but with some advice from Rev I made the deal. $775 for a super clean and tight gun. I finally got to shoot it last night after being home over a month. The first shells through it were the ones that were a gift from PGG. It is a fabulous old gun. So even though this was not a dealer find it was a great deal. www.bargaintrader.com.
Thanks again for everything.

Glad you're home safely - nicely done of the gun deal
If you're up in New England, give us a heads up and we can go shooting or a pint or both in that order
Thanks for the link too |

Sweet deal. I've seen several FW field grade 16 ga guns selling in the $1600 range. I also recenly puchased one for cheap but I'm putting some money into it to get it back to sweet elsie condition. Thanks for serving. |
