I do not post much, but read a lot.

I just want to thank the moderators for being quick to delete the inappropriate posts that have been appearing recently.

Thanks

Thank you for noticing.

For every single real registrant on GunTalk, we delete 10 to 15 bogus ones daily. Some of them post objectionable topics usually involving a website link. Lately they have been coming at us in waves, usually late at night.

We spend a lot of free time trying to protect the dignity of the site and keep the focus on the subject. This involves checking every new registrant to see if they're genuine 16ga.enthusiasts and occasionally breaking up fights over a topic. I appreciate the kind words.

For the 16ga. Society, --Doug

We do notice and are remiss in not thanking you more frequently. The content of his site reflects excellent 'housekeeping'---but sometimes the fights are fun.

I'm glad to hear that they really were there. For a while I thought I was loosing my mind. First they were there and then not. Some times I think I've done something but really only thought about it. Thats the way it is at my age.
Thanks for looking after the site.

I bought some powdered Viagra from one of these spammers, and used it as a shot buffer in some of my reloads. It did seem to make my gun shoot harder.

Well, I must admit, I did look.
Yes, I do go to the fridge, open the door and wonder what I was after.
I even went hunting last year and forgot to bring a shotgun.

Much appreciated. We are working on this, and hope to further thwart the spammers.

I'm just amazed that they can find a site like this. I mean, in the big Gore world of the internet this place has to be one of the most obscured places around.

I too am very pleased with your prompt delete policy.
