I discoveed, many years ago, the best way to buy a gun, is not to ask the price or look at the tag.. Look the gun over thoroughly mentally note all the flaws as well as the good points.. Form an opinion in your mind, just what the gun is worth, both market value, and it's worth to you.. Decide what is the top dollar you will pay.. After doing all this, ask the price or look at the tag..You'll find yourself being more prudent in your buying.. If you want the gun, and know the asking price, you may find yourself trying to justify the gun's short-comings.. Works fo me.. MDC

Drew,

It is better to be home than I thought it would be Very Happy . I hear some things from my friends over in Iraq that are signs of progress. I sure miss the military news I got over there though.

I'm going to pass it up myself. My brother went and looked at it for me. Dent in the barrel and cracks in th wood. Wish I could see it myself, but I get nervous not being able to.

Same here.....It was thoroughly described to me and sounds like a good restoration project, but I still haven't started on my Sauer yet, and also don't like the idea of buying a project sight-unseen. I'm sure it will be a good deal for someone.
