Husqvarna #17
Remington M-31 28",Full ,Solid Rib
Wards,Westrn Field,M-35(Browning Patent)28" full
Winchester,M-1897,28"full
Winchester,M-12,28"Solid Rib

12 Ga. Husqvarna#20(Very Pleased with this gun so far)

Now for the bad news. The Husqvarna has a stock failure going on and I need to find someone to discuss the possibility of repair or return the gun.

The M-12 has had the stock cut and currently is at 13 1/2" LOP over factory plate, either need wood or a period pad and there is a pretty good chip in the toe as well, other than that the gun rates an easy 85-90% Serial# 644000,which pad would be on it from the factory?
Thanks;ST

I went to an auction yesterday that had a M-12,16 ga,Vented Rib,1959 gun listed.Odds were good it was a Simmons but I went anyway with some friends.Turns out it was a Simmons and had a 20 ga. twin with it as well, both unfired since the alteration.I could'nt let it go for less than 500 and bid it to there and wound up with it,as well as 2 uncut 16/20 Ga. M-12 stocks with plates and a box of Browning and Winchester butt plates, some misc. Doo-Dads and a super nice Hawkins Pad for the 16 ga.1897 I scored awhile back that was shortened. It's to the point now where I'm going to have to think about starting to sell some things.I need an intervention Confused

Galazan (of course) sells a reproduction Winchester recoil pad that would be correct.

Dr 16g has a LC getting repaired right now by Craig Libhart Susquehanna Stockworks Bainbridge, PA (717) 367-3414

Dennis Smith and Bob Fulton also do wonderful repair work, and are quite busy as a result.

Are you a dealer? (Any of these guns going to be for sale?)

Solid Rib 31s seem to be a tough find - congrats!

I'd suggest finding an original stock for the model 12 - it's a 20ga frame, so look for either "16" or "20". Or a set of Skeet wood would really look nice!!! (Making it an artificial Super Field)

Not a dealer, just an addict like the bulk of us.I've got a nickel steel 16 on the way with really good wood and the serial# should put it in the transitional range.I have 2 20 ga. solid ribs as well that have some wood issues so we'll see how it all works out.I also have a set of M-12 wood around here some where that should fit it as well.I had a Super-Field a # of years ago that I sold for todays prices,I shudder to think what it would bring today.I gotta go fishin, the pond is right out the window of the computer room here and this just aint' workin out Smile
