WW,

Yea, but I don't have time to reload as well as getting and storing the components.
I'll go 12ga first.

Just talked to the one source of RGLs. He's got 8 cases coming next week. Very Happy

Got another guy who has a source for 14 cases of 7.5s and 8 cases of 8s. Problem there is they are almost $55 a case. Sad
I think I'm gonna pass on those.

I may take a ride to Cabela's on Sunday and see if they have any Estates left. With the coupon I just got in the mail I can buy 3 cases for about $43 a case. Not bad in today's market.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd 30 or 40 times rather SHOOT than RELOAD...especially 16's....I've been doing it and I like the gauge, but if it gets to be much more hassle, I'm gonna reconsider the whole deal; my time is very limited and I'd just prefer to spend my free time outdoors. The 20 and 28 gauges break targets and kill gamebirds too....

Wolf,

That's kinds my idea about the whole thing but I'd still use the 16 for game. I can always find hunting ammo for the 16, it's the target grade stuff that's a bit harder to get in quantaties.

But it looks like I'll be ok for a while longer within a week or so. Wink
The stash will be back up over 20 flats again. Very Happy

The local Dick's Sporting Goods got in one flat of 16 gauge Rem. Game Loads in 7.5 shot last week. Price was still $3.77 with case price discount. Maybe Dick's will continue to get these shells as hunting season approaches.

Same shell at Wal-Mart $4.97. Tried to get Wal-Mart to match the price on the same shell and load. They wouldn't because they said Dick's Sporting Goods is a "warehouse" store.

I can only hope that the store that is getting me the 8 cases will give me that kind of price on them. Very Happy

I was wondering about Wal-Marts price match policy and could not get a straight answer from anyone at my local store. I called their corporate office and was told “We will match any local or internet deal you can find on any in store item. If your local Wal-Mart has any questions about our policy have the manager give us a call." I have suggested the manager needed to call the corporate office on several occasions at different Wal-Marts now. The one manager that did call ended up giving me an additional $10.00 off for wasting my time. Wink
(Please note Wal-Mart online will not price match.)

Never many 16 ga places in this part of the world, so i buy whenever i find.

Have started using the 20 ga shells with the inserts in my break open guns, they seem to work ok for trap and other clay target gamws. Still use regular 16 ammo in the pumps.

buy 'em when you see 'em
