Just got back some results for a couple of loads I sent to Tom Armbrust for testing.
16ga Cheddite paper hulls / roll crimp and trimmed to length for load:
3/4 oz #8 shot 19gr Longshot G16 wad W/W209 primer .030 overshot card
average for 3 shells 1037fps 3,400 PSI
7/8 oz #8 shot 20gr Longshot same wad / primer / overshot card
average for 3 shells 1156fps 5,300 PSI
Very mild recoil and they break clays just fine. |

I was looking for a pleasant load that my wife could shoot. Turns out that I can't see any difference in results between the 7/8 load and the 1oz Remington Game Loads or the 1 oz Fiocchi, except that the 7/8 load is much nicer to shoot. It feels about like my 28ga loads feel. |
