Talked to him, and he was going to contact Rocky as soon as he got off the phone with me.
If I can get ammo, I plan to come. Tomorrow Bass Pro has Rem Promo loads in 16, but don't know shot size- 2.99 box. |

I spoke with MCHunter - everything is a go for the 11th. We will be posting the details soon. This should be a great event! |

The overall plan, as of today is that we will meet at the DGC Clubhouse around 1 pm in the afternoon, Saturday the 11th - maps and directions will be posted soon.
An idea of mine, to allow us to get to know each other, is that we choose a gathering place beforehand to drink coffee, visit, and generally shoot the bull. I am open to suggestions as to the time and location of this proposed meeting. Please chime in and let us know what you think of this idea.
Our friends attending from out of town may need advice or directions to overnight accommodations, if please post away, and tell us what information you need.
This should be an enjoyable and memorable prelude to the upcoming Hunting Season! |

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm up for just about anyplace to meet for fellowship, before the big "face-off." I'll bring some name tags so we can better put a face to our moniker. I'll be coming in from Louisiana and am looking forward to meeting you guys and having some fun.
Regards,
Charles |

Charles, my brother. Corral some of those Loosiana duck killers and make a party of it! I used to stop in West Monroe to eat on my way to Yazoo City,MS, when I used to duck hunt with my uncle Clarance Forsythe in the 70's. What type of guns are you bringing? Looking forward to meeting you and Yentzen from OK. |

Howdy the group,
I just had a "wonder about".
Since we are going to the Dallas Gun Club,
- Is there a dress code?
- Is there a gun code?
I don't want to embarass our host, or show any disrespect as a member of the 16GA Society.
Just want to be properly attired, and realizing that this is August in Texas.
Happy trails,
HHH |

I do not presume to speak for Mark or the DGC, but having been there a half dozen times I can assure you breeks and tweed are not required. Shirt and shoes- yes; eyes and ears- yes; shorts welcome. A towel in your pocket would be helpful, and if you shoot trap, moderate conversation or colorful language at missed birds will likely launch another. |

For those of us not able to make it to the Whataburger, is there a place at the DGC where we should meet? I am not familiar at all with the facility.
From an earlier post, I believe the time to meet was 1:00 p.m. Is this still correct?
Happy trails,
HHH |

HH - When I spoke with MCHunter last week the plan was to meet at the DGC Clubhouse 12:30 - 13:00 - and meet him there. Hopefully MCHunter will confirm this.
Yentzen - I don't believe Jackets are required, just a good line of credit |
