I attended an out of town Gun Show yesterday. One table had eight boxes of Winchester older type game loads. What a find I bought all eight, 16 ga. 1 oz. #6's & #8's. These are the compression hull that are no longer made, they also have the 8 point crimp. I got them for $4.00 a box, the bonus was he threw in 4 five packs of 4/5oz hollow point rifled slugs these are also Winchester.
I sure am glad to get these hulls for reloading, after I shoot the shells next Month Dove shooting.
Any ideas for the slugs other than home Security ? We use rifles for Deer hunting here in Arizona. |

Drew;
The weather was fine. We left as the clouds were building over the Rim. I was looking for 16 SXS, none found. The fellow I bought the shells from had a nice Winchester 16ga. 1400 for sale and there was a Winchester 1200 16 also. I have a very nice 870/16 Wingmaster and I do not like Auto's.
Next Week end is the Ter-Mark show at the State Fair Grounds. I will be attending that show. I have a very nice Ruger #3 carbine in 30-40 Krag. I would like to trade or sell the Ruger #3 and buy a nice double. |

Why don't you sell the slugs to some of us" Eastern Boys" that hunt with em ? Number 2 and 4 shot is great for home defense---tresspassers just love it |

Years ago I was an Alaska State Trooper and knew an old timer who hunted with a Krag-Jorgenson 30/40. He had taken everything in Alaska including the big Bears with the above and a handload of a 190 gr lead wheelweight bullet . I would love to have your rifle! |

Capt Billy,
If you need/want 16ga slugs, I know where there are bunch of boxes. Send me a PM and I'll turn you onto them.
I don't use a 16ga slug gun so I have no interest in them.
They are Remington Slugs of new manufacture. |

Lefty,
Great find! You're lucky I didn't go down to Payson as I am always looking for Win CF 16's at any gunshow I go to.
