So I find the gun of my dreams...eagerly await for its arrival...
No, FFL -- sorry son, you'll have to wait some more...
It shivers (lonely) in some strangers' safe...

FF: Didn't you know ahead of time you would need an FFL? I feel for you brother!
Most gun dealers and gun clubs will be glad to handle the paperwork for a reasonable fee. At least out here in the Wild West!
So, whats the gun?

Even my bird-feeder doves were smirking this morning.
Somewhere on the Prairie, a teal is laughing.... |

It's nice to see you guys posting pictures of Sweets with plain barrels, IMO they are the best handling Sweets.
Top gun is a '51 Sweet. 1 oz of Bismuth does the job if your decoys and calling are up to snuff.

Flawaterfowler, are you still alive?
Is there anything we can do to help ease the pain?
Anything?

Where did you guys go to school? Caligula High? Oh, the cruelty of it all!
Got so flustered that I almost bougt a deer rifle today - the Model 7 with scope - Her Majesty would have my head for that.
Settled for buying a Leupold for my pops' old .22. Mom asked me why Id put a scope on his old gun like that... explained to her that my eyes were a lot worse than dad's ... she bought it for him when he was 18.
Brought a lot of things into perspective (for both of us)
That's ok, yall gloat. When the object of my desire is in my paws Im posting pictures as well... And Jeff, your dead on about the plain barrels...
And by the way, Gents, absolutely beautiful A5's. Lets hope they're not closet queens!

All those hump backed guns suffer from a barrel deficiency (one short, not enough triggers either) which I am slowly coming to accept with grace. The ones with the safeties in front are kinda cute though. |

Lawrence, the LAST thing in the world I need when a bird has got me all disconbobulated is TWO triggers to fret about. Ill leave those classy little things to the likes of gentlemen like yourself and my older brother.
Oh, I know Dave. The anticipation of this thing is making it more fun. Ive wanted a gun like this since I was 12 and it took, oh, about 30+ years for me to find the "right" one - I think I was fated to own this one and give it a good home -- the gun is somewhat significant to the person who sold it to me, so that makes it even more special -- good Karma thing and all.
When I was 16 I spent most of my summer lifeguarding money on an A5 -- but it was a 12 due to the fact that I like to go swamping for ducks. A Sweet 16 has always reminded me of my uncle Jimmy and following the birddogs in South Ga for bobwhites -- back when there were actually wild quail in Ga.
Cant wait to take this one out during early duck season. I have some wood ducks Id like to introduce her to .... |
