I am thinking about buying a Plain Wood Semi-Finished Straight Grip / English Style Buttstock from Gun Stocks Inc. Just wondering how much wood I would have to remove. Anybody from the Society purchase a stock from them? If so what is your opinion.
Thanks |

I bought a forearm from them this year and it fits perfectly. Very nice piece of walnut that stained up very nice. I think it was $45 and well worth it.

Several guys over on a Savage collectors board recommend them to anyone asking about getting a stock. The models 1895, 1899, and 99 lever action rifles all have a two-piece stock, with a butt that attaches with a thru-bolt, pretty much the same as a lot of shotguns.
Usually the first and most on the list of places to go.
