Just picked up 12 boxes of 16 ga. Federal 1 oz. 2 1/2 dram #6 loads at Wal-mart for $3.67 a box. (They wouldn't match the 10% discount that Dick/s or Gander Mountain gives for 10 or more boxes.)
Would have preferred #7.5 as I mostly hunt grouse, but these will do. Don't know if this was a deal they were running, or if just trying to get rid of them, but they were marked down 50% from the original price. All the other heavy loads they had in 16 ga. were priced at $10 and up. |

Fleet Farm in Stevens Point has them for $5.99 a box...what a rip. But, there's nowhere else to get them around here.  |
