Wow! It was great. I shot 4 rounds of 5-stand with 1oz winchester xtra lites #8's. I equaled my best ever rounds with the Beligian beauty and am quite pleased. It was comfortable to shoot and felt real natural - light, but not too light. Fortunately, it has very modern dimensions to begin with so it didnt baffle me like the old American doubles can. Nope, its a keeper and seemed to handle the win 1oz xtra lights just fine. Not sure what pressure those are loaded to, but heard its in the 8-9000psi range. I will load up some lighter loads for the future though. I can load up some 7/8-1oz loads in the 5900-7500 range for a little extra assurance. Although my gut tells me the gun is just fine for 8-9000 psi too. These aren't thin walled bbls and the gun is pretty sturdy for a light gun. bbls length is 26 3/4" so I'm surprised I shot so well with it. But I shot it as good as my 30"bbls rounds. Go figger. |
