Tried this question on the general discussion board and did not get a response.
Has anyone shot Busmuth out of a full choked gun and did it work well?
Should I have my very tight (full) FN Auto 5, 16 opened to Mod???
Cheers, John

Sorry, I can't help you. I've never shot bismuth.

I have shot it out of 16ga mod and 12ga IM and found it to reach as far as I felt comfortable shooting. The Phez and ducks piled up hard. I did shoot two geese with 3 1/2" Biz in BB thru a LF and IM. They didn't even twitch. I have been too lazy to pattern. I find if it works well that is what counts.
Best,
Ron

Grouser,

If your A5's full choke is as tight as mine was, .043", you might want to open it anyway. Had mine opened to .014".

I shoot bismuth through an A5 choked .020 and a Model 11 choked .016 and both pattern and take birds very well. Shot through a full choke on an NID its too tight. Smile
