I have a Belgian Browning Sweet 16 for sale that is in excellent condition. The gun was manufactured in 1953, has a 2 3/4" chamber, 27 1/2" barrel with a modified choke (pictured). The gun has rarely been fired and has only normal handling marks.
See pictures at: http://community.webtv.net/gatesfamily3/gunpics
Priced fairly at $1150
Contact Al at: alvonnagle@comcast.net for further inquiries. Hurry, will not last long... |

Have you owned it , since it was new. Has the wood been refinished ('cuase it seems like it has)? |

It appears the checkering has varnish or finish in it. I'd say it's been refinished. |

If it has been refinished, the asking price is high...I could not tell from your original post that it had been redone. |

I owned this gun for several years. My gunsmith believes the gun to be original and not refinished. The shine on the checkering is possibly from the flash as I can't see it in normal light. The barrels offered with the gun are evidence that the gun was rarely fired. The traditional marks where the barrel slides inside of the forearm are absent in this case. I have owned many A-5's and can attest to this. If a fair price can not be met, I have no problem holding on to this beauty. I am only looking to move it because I have other things I would like to move on to this fall. |

IMO, this looks like original finish.
It is not uncommon to have the checkering look like this in a flash picture of original finish on a gun from this era.

Thank you Don for purchasing the extra barrel. New price for the gun is only $1150 and is an absolute must see... |
