I have an unfired Winchester model 12, 16 ga made in 1959, 28" non ribbed with modified choke, 2 3/4" chambers. Wood has few marks and is near to showroom new as you can get. Picked it up from an estate. Whats the realistic value of this gun. I'm thinking of selling it toward buying a German SxS 16
Cheers & thanks |

The unfired bit doesn't mean much unless it new in the box, since there is no way to tell if it was fired. I think it may go as high as $700 in that condition.. But like gun nut says, on the auction, they some times go crazy on high condition guns..MDC |

How much paperwork/hassle is it to sell to/thru a FFL holder in the U.S. from Canada |

As I understand it it can take as long as 6 months to clear it thru to the buyer. Had a Watson Bros 20 ga for sale last year and it took so long that the buyer gave up. No prblem on the Canadian side our @#*&^$ governnent is very happy to see guns leave the country. After 9/11, it became progressively more difficult to sell guns to the US.
Cheers, John |
