I've been saving my Winchester hulls for quite some time. My wife has politely asked me what I was going to do with over 1000 hulls.
"I want to reload them..." And I do want to reload them.
I've a MEC 600 Jr, and a RCBS 505 scale, and check weights.
I figure some for upland game, and some for clays. The whole are of what loads to use is just too confusing.
I've been saving the hulls from my waterfowl loadsalso. (Do you think I can reload these with steel?) It took me 2 months to get the case of #4 steel, and I don't want to wait again.
What do you recommend?
What books do you like?

I think the most complete reloading book I've seen comes from Ballistic Products, the 16 ga manual. It features more shell, wad and powder combinations than I've seen in any other book. It also covers short shells, Bismuth and steel reloading. |

Save every brand of 16 hull you come across. You can always trade for your prefered brand. The Lyman shotshell book is a great reference.Brand of hull does not limit your use of steel--only avaliable data.Loading your own will open up a whole new relm of possibilities. My preference is the 3/4 oz loads for skeet |

Thanks, all insights will help.
I didn't know what other hulsl will be able to load steel, so I've almost been a fanatic about keeping every Federal Premium hull for when I start to load steel.
I'm looking forward to be able to vary my loads for the best results.
