Yesterday on my way to pick up some machinery in for fix I stopped by the Bass Pro in Auburn NY. Nothing really there for me but I was curious as to 16 ga. ammo from reading the posts of sales and deals here by others. What I founnd was Remington Game Loads 1oz. #8's for $14.99 thought these were the cheap ones----was wrong I guess. They also had Remington Express Loads which is not bad stuff and it was only $12.49. Seems to me they got mixed up here I took a box of each up to the "counter-boy"(40 yr. old) and asked what gives ? His answer was the Game Loads are for hunting only and hunting ammo always costs more. I then asked about the Express Loads and was told that stuff is for sporting clays cause it "shoots faster". I kinda think Bass Pro is "ass backwards" on about everything. They are not hunters / outdoor people and seem to be in a world of thier on. Glad I reload and live out in the sticks away from jerks like this |

Definately sounds like something was wrong with the price of the RGLs. I do know they have gone up and at least one member reported them at $6+. That would be more in line with the projected price increases but $14.99 is way off base. I doubt that the price increases are going to push the RGLs up to that.
Sure hope not. |

I was in Bass Pro here on Monday and picked up a case of the RGL's for $4.99 per box. That's as high as I've seen them here. Sounds like they were screwed up where you're at.

Yep, screwed up is a mild statement ! When I talked to the counter-boy he checked his list and said the price was correct-------------although he may not be able to read Its quite a place, for sure. Might add that the dude in the ATV dept. explained to me that the Artic Cat 700 would go 54 mph and that means getting out were the hunting is quicker Even the bass and trout they had in the aquarium looked wierd. |

I agree there are no deals at BP, however, I have never been in the store here where they didn't have a decent selection of 16ga. ammo. God bless em for that! I see a lot of people having luck at Dicks, but my Dicks, errr, the Dicks here rarely have any.

BP has them listed at $4.99 on their website. Sounds like those Auburn boys are just a little confused. We have a BP in Denver but it is cheaper for me to order from the internet than pay for the gas to drive there. Anyway, I am not even sure that they know what a 16 ga is. |

The 12 and 20 RGL are on sale for $ 4.99 at the store. When I pointed this out the counter-boy did not know why I never go to Wal Mart but just for hell of it I'm gonna stop at the one in Watkins Glen to see what them sell em for. |
