Guys, thanks for the comments. This is just for fun and silliness.
Oregon is a state that does not require blaze orange, unfortunately. There are some places I would hunt without it, and others I wouldn't go near unless I had it on.
The Stetson is from Noggintops. The cotton khaki breeches are indeed lace-up copies of the issue Model 1912 cavalry breeches. I got them from WhatPriceGlory.com, a Great War re-enactors' supply house. They also carry them in wool gabardine, I believe.
I put on the tie just because I have seen many historical photos of sportsmen of the first third of the 20th century wearing ties while hunting and fishing. Don't know as I could abide one on an 80-degree day though ...

The real deal, my great grandfather and friends. Starched collared shirts in the grouse covers, not sure about ties. Note the long coat.

Bandanas on the trout stream cause of the heat and black lies on the back of your neck.

Back in the day, a necktie was almost de rigueur ! Very Happy

Precisely.

Here are a few sports enjoying my neck of the woods in its heyday.

I think your homage fits the caraciture even better than the historical.

There's a bargain on some tall bean boots on ebay.
