Hi Charlie:

I have a couple of cases of the Hunting Nobel Sport 16s in the reloading room. I use these 1 1/16 oz loads (8s) for yardage shooting at Edwardsville Gun Club in the Thursday night trap league. The shells are "punchy", but out of the Rem 1100 with mod choke, they murder the clays out to 23 yards.

I've been shooting them for a few years. No problems with them so far. They are a little strong for a 200 shot day but I do it anyway. I have a couple cases left from a purchase a couple years ago and my only complaint is they leave a lot of burned powder in the barrel. No big deal. They list the powder charge at 3 1/4 drams, which would lead one to think the velocity would be close to 1300 fps. I checked the velocity myself and they ran more like 1250 fps. I think the descrepency comes from the way Europeans measure the velocity. Seems like I read they check at the muzzle and the American way is three feet from the muzzle. Someone who reads might have something to add.
