Very Happy Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with RST 1oz, 2 1/2" loadings in 16ga (of course!)? How is there performance, killing ability, etc?

Thanks all!!!

Greg

They are a great load, and so is the 7/8 oz. load.

This was the result of 1 RST 2.5" #5 last Sunday. Others have fallen likewise to the same shell this season. Very Happy

They shoot well and I've killed quail with the 7/8 ounce load.

I have used the 8's on grouse and woodcock this past fall with fine success, and used 5's on SD roosters, both early- and late-season with similar results. I should also point out that they burned significantly cleaner than many of the other shells I have used over the past two years. Finally, they offer a wide range of shot sizes, which I do appreciate.

Got 3 pheasants Sunday with RST #6 - 1 oz copper plated shot.

Great loads for older guns due to low pressure loading - work great in new ones also.

Hulls are Cheddite and are 65mm/2 9/16" long fired. The clear hulls look neat cause you can see the guts. The plastic wad is the B & P Z-16 sold by many and called the Trap Commander by BPI. They reload like any other Cheddite hull.

You can't argue with success.

P
