Just returned from a 2 wk trip to Arizona Mearns country. My little 5 1/2 lb 16 was a joy to carry & did quite well inspite of it's tight chokes.
Temps were in the high 50s during mid-day so we did a lot of this

I am envyous , I want to go and sit in the 50 degree temp and admire the scenery.

Nice photo. I live in Arizona in the winter and I get out as often as I can but I still haven't found "mearns country". Seems like everywhere I go I keep running in to them damn runnin Gambles. I'll keep looking.
BTW I clip my GWP when I hunt in AZ and people think he is a Shorthair. I know that wouldn't work for you as you have to go back to cold country. Mine stay here until spring.
Anyhow thanks for posting and the nice pic. |

| Thanks leftydude. I've been in that general area. I guess I'm not at the right elevation, yet. The good news is I've still got time to hit it again before season closes. |

This was my first trip to Arizona but I'd say if your seeing Gambles your not far enough South.
