The last flyer I received from Graf and Sons had the Magtech 16 ga brass hulls for a very attractive price like under $5 per box. They may be gone by now. Obviously the reason for the low price is they were set up for Berdan primers. I remember somewhere reading about some guy who drilled out those type hulls for 209 size primers. I had some Magtech hulls before that used large pistol primers and worked ok and if I could change them to use 209s tht would be really attractive. Anyone ever do this? . |

Ballistic products sells a the Mag Tech brass hull and a Double Hammer brass hull, which is a converted Mag Tech hull with 209 primers called Crown Series. Double Hammer also adds a paper of plastic base wad, I’m not sure which. Rocky Mountain Cartridge in Cody WY makes all gauge turned brass hulls that accepts a 209 primer. RMC hulls last forever, but are pricey.
