I have about 250-300 remington size 57 primers. Do some of you have any use for these to reload some of the older remington hulls? I have no use fore them so if you can figure out how to get them to you from kentucky they can be yours. First come first serve. |

Powderburn,
I will take the primers but I don't know the best way of shipping. Maybe someone will chime in here. Larry |

It's probably not worth it for 300 primers. I think they have to go UPS with a HAZMAT fee. I think that is now $10, but I'm not sure. Add shipping and it is cost prohibitive! |

Hazmat is $20 per package, no matter if it is 8 ounces of gunpowder or a single pack of 100 primers.
However, if those same primers are inserted into hulls you just need to paste on an ORMD sticker on the package.
I also had a bunch left over from the late 60's, early 70's Remington hulls that required them. I now use them in my inline muzzleloader. It calls for the 209 size, but these work just a good with no spitting at all. |

I was sort of afraid that the hazmat fee would be high but I didn't know for sure. Larry they are yours if you want them but for the $$ I doubt it would be a good deal for you. Just let me know. |

Powderburn,
Thanks for the offer but I think I will pass. If I were in Kentucky maybe we could make a deal or meat somewhere. Larry |

I have an untouched "brick" of these things; wish I knew what to do with them. |

Carpe dm,
I'll be on the south rim of the Grand Canyon in about ten days if your in the area I'll take them off your hands.
The alternative is to come on up to Montana for a little bird hunting.
Best,
Ron |

Great idea! I'll hang on to them in case we get together, up in God's country. |

What part of KY? I'll be at Ft Knox and Ft Campbell in June for some business.

Hello All, I live in Amarillo Texas and have about 5,000 *57 primers. Would trade some for 209 size primers. Thanks, Mike |

Roadkill sorry but I live in southeast KY along the I75 corridor. It would be a couple hundred miles at least. |

Skeettx,
I passed thru Texas panhandle last week. To bad I could have helped out with the primers. I was on my way home after a 5000 mile road trip. If ya pass thru western Montana give me a call. #406-826-0046.
Best,
Ron |
