I looked at a JP Sauer today on which the reciever had gone an olive green. What do you think caused this and is it fixable?

Wasn't one of those brass alloy guns they made for a while, was it?

I guess I am not familiar with their having made recievers from brass alloy, but that would account for the olive green appearence.

I can't say with certainty they did--but Heym produced a drilling and rifle/shotgun combo with a brass alloy. In good shape they have a gold silver cast to them--I have seen a couple in poor condition that did have some green tinge to them. I'm just guessing....only time I've seen a greenish receiver.
