I looked at a JP Sauer today on which the reciever had gone an olive green. What do you think caused this and is it fixable? |

Wasn't one of those brass alloy guns they made for a while, was it? |

I guess I am not familiar with their having made recievers from brass alloy, but that would account for the olive green appearence. |

I can't say with certainty they did--but Heym produced a drilling and rifle/shotgun combo with a brass alloy. In good shape they have a gold silver cast to them--I have seen a couple in poor condition that did have some green tinge to them. I'm just guessing....only time I've seen a greenish receiver. |
