This one is the same exact model I bought N.I.B. nearly two years ago. Mine shoots very well. Its not quite as slick as my older 1960's gun of the same basic style, but that is to be expected. Given time and use, it will be.
In this case, I think the wood is a secondary matter. It's a pump and therefore, a shooter meant for field work. Most folks who are lucky enough to get one tend to hang on to them, because a 16 gauge 37 just does the job to perfection IMO. So, the problem is trying to find one. Once that is done, then perhaps the price can be dickered over. There just aren't many being offered N.I.B with rib and choke tubes. I've seen higher asking prices for the same gun, so I guess its just a matter of how bad the buyer wants it and what he wants it for. |
