Got my RBL Launch today. To say I am happy would be an understatement. Straight stock, 4x wood. What a beautiy! Wood to metal is perfect. Engraving is absolutely beautiful. I went with the black walnut, 14.75 lop, 6.4lbs. The matte barrels were a nice surprise and very nice looking. The rounded trigger guard is nice. I think I may have to order a simular gun in 28ga. Now if they would only make a 16 Very Happy Very Happy

Glad you got your new RBL20, very nice gun as described. I also would order an RBL16 in a heartbeat. I'll be quite disillusioned if the next RBL is a damn 410.

fred, I know how you feel. Last year I went to the NRA show in St Louis. I thought the little SxS made by Smith & Wesson was pretty neat. The sales rep told me that they would offer it first in 20 gauge but the plans were to eventually offer it in all gauges except 12. After waiting a year, I noticed it is still offered in a 20 gauge only. I'm wondering how many years I have to wait until they come out with a 16. At my age, I might not have that many years left.

Scolari, Time isn't on my side either. Glad dear ol' Granddad left me his Sterlingworth. I'd still like to have my own new gun before I'm too gimped up to use it.

Yes, except I went with the stock nickle finish. Very beautiful, nice handling gun for the $$. I went with the 143/4 inch stock in 4x wood which fits perfectly. I would recommend it. I wish the 28ga wasnt a $1000 more. I talked with the sales person when I put my order in and his statement regarding 16ga was that they werent looking at this gauge due to the lack of available ammo, esp nontox.

I called the factory to "explore" the possibility of a RBL28g and was happy to hear that they will flex in choice of chokes compared to thier ad. I am going to ponder it for the rest of the week before I put my order in. I again raised the issue of an RBL in 16, with the sales person seeming to squirm and responding " we have been getting alot of requests for that" so there may be hope.

If it weren't for our organization and the continual push for more products like ammo and guns by our outdoor writers and membership-we wouldn't enjoy what we do have! It really burns my butt that the excuses they use are so bogus! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I also asked Carol about a 16. She demurred and also said she has had people ask about it, but didn't know anything. I would definitely consider buying one if it became available. Although, if they price it at the 28ga. price, it will be a stretch. If they could price it at the launch edition price again, they will sell a ton of them.

Took the RBL out yesterday and am pleased with the way I shot with it. Worked Bria (GSP) on some hen pheasants and found the gun to come up nice and my being able to get on the bird quick. I agree the RBL28 is a bit high, why is it they always have to charge more for 28's? Confused Confused
