Some serious coveting going on in the dr16gauge household this am. Drew - you really are a bad influence.

Have been thinking of an old 16 ga damascus hammer gun for some time and now the good revdoc from AZ has peaked my interest again Wink

How do you find the time to work on all this website stuff - this week for me my time has been consumed with a new garbage disposal and shoveling (again) Rolling Eyes

God bless you, Drew. Finally a website dedicated to the most beautiful and strong barrels on a double shotgun! I know you are not alone in this endeavor, is there any chance Sherman Bell will contribute?

Brent: good thought. I'd love to be able to include his series "Finding Out For Myself" from the Double Gun Journal.
Another individual is doing some way above my pea brain analysis of damascus including mass spectrometry and electron microscopy and all sorts of...like...PhD engineering stuff Rolling Eyes which may be a while coming.
I'm adding and revising every day so please keep checking the site Very Happy
And Dr 16g- wasn't able to swim last week for pool maintenance at the club, but it's in the 80s now and will swim tomorrow after taking the oppositional setter dog up north early to chase some Gambel's. They are back in the neighborhood and cocks are chasing hens up and down the street! The brittle bush are turning yellow on the mountains and the mexican poppies are bright gold in the flats Cool
So how's the weather in the midwest? Wink

Well Drew - the midwest weather is you know 70s today and snow tomorrow - that sort of thing Rolling Eyes

You could be swimming in the non-olympic size pool here at the 'e' Seems a few years ago when it was built, they measured once and cut twice and we have a pool on campus that can't be used for sanctioned swim events - too short by about 2 cm. They hold a friday night swim and movie instead - big hit with families with kids!

Lots of new stuff has been added including Tom Flanigan's Damascus Restoration Tutorial

I'm still working on our Damascus Rosetta Stones; ultra close up pictures of labeled Damascus Pattern Samples from Ferlach and Birmingham, so more great stuff to come!
