Now, now, 22-250, Let's be nice to the Winchester Model 50.
It was my first shotgun, and all I could afford as a young man just out of school and barely making enough to cover food, transportation, and rent.
I paid $80 for it new off the rack, and learned to hit dove, squirrel, ducks, rabbits, and a few clays, even with the full choke. I have had strangers come over in the dove field to see what I was shooting, cause they couldn't believe some of the shots.
Never had a jam, never failed to fire, didn't care what load I put in it. It doesn't get much use these days, as I have a couple of others that share time, but I wouldn't hesitate to take it out any day.
Happy trails,
HHH |
