Hi All - can some one point me to a site that can help be troubleshoot my crimps?
Basically the 400 Rem green hulls I reloaded came out great - good crimps (mostly) and solid closure
Tonight I did 300 RGL's and most had dished crimps and often a single pellet was visible
Aside from the hull nothing has changed - the load is as follows
Universal Clays - 19 grains (measures 18.5)
R16 wad
Rem hull
(1) .125 thick 28ga card
win primer
I haven't measured the hull length to see if there's any difference and that only occured to me while typing.
Anyway, if there's a resource with pictures to help me find a solution to better crimps, I'd appreciate it. |

Add another .125 28 gauge card wad and if that is too much to get a good crimp use a couple grains of puffed wheat, puffed rice or a Cheerio as filler. |

Most likely a difference in the base wad height between the two Rem. hulls. Add more filler or more powder. |
