This gun was originally a pg/spl set-up, I had it restocked and sent it off to Andy's Custom Shop for reblue and to have a long trigger guard installed. The original stock and metal is included, the replacement stock was made to match the dimensions of the original except for reducing drop at comb and heel: 14.5" LOP, DAC is 1 1/4" and at heel it is 2 1/8". I got a Cody letter in 2000, it shows the gun was made for Abercrombie and Fitch.
Original listing of the gun's weight is 6.25lbs, with the restock it is nearly 7lbs--not only is the original stock thinner but it was hollowed out. The new BT is smaller, made to approximate the factory's option of a Hession style.
The gun works perfectly and has chokes of .005" and .015", but has been sitting in my safe while I use another gun set up a lot like this one that I like better. Last time it was out was at Flatwater '08 where XVI'er gave it a workout against hostile clays. He looked good shooting it!!

Sale fell through, buyer committed to other projects unfortunately. He would have shot it very little anyhow, leaving it in the safe surrounded by rifles!

If I wasn't doing major home improvement stuff right now, this gun would be GONE! That is my kind of wood! |

Kirk, thank you for the kind words. I would snap up this beauty in a minute if I could pony up the scratch!
This is an exceptional gun, and handles much lighter than its weight indicates. Somebody better snap it up quick before I sell my truck and buy it! |

Yep, I saw this one at Flatwater along with Wingshooter and XVI. I agree with them that this is a nice gun. Plus, Kirk keeps his guns exceptionally well maintained, so it will be in excellent shape.
I'd consider it myself, but have gone almost totally over to the O/U and semi-auto "dark side" these days. |
