I have no connection to this gun or gun shop, I just happened upon them while visiting family in Indiana. The gun is a sweet little 16ga. Mod. 12 in a gun shop in Columbia City, IN. The gun was choked full with a 24 inch nickel steel barrel. A Simmons vented rib and a Pachmayr recoil pad had been added at some point. The metal was in great shape with very little wear (probably reblued when rib added). The serial numbers were 5xx,xxx and matched. Chambered 2 3/4 inches. It was a good looking shooter with clean wood. It was marked $599.00, but the proprietor offered it to me for considerably less ($350). I should have jumped on it. Hindsight is 20/20 and now I am 600 miles to the north. C'est la vie!
