Managed to have a duplicate post. I really hate when this happens. Rolling Eyes

The new 16 ga WW AA clones from Claybuster apparently are flushing out all the overpriced stashes of original Winchester 16AA wads. It's the same thing locally. Local gun show ammo and componant dealers are heavily discounting the old originals to dump them as fast as they can. Anyone could have seen this one coming for a while now. Our limited resurrection of the R16 had a limited effect on the price of 16 AA wads for a while.

We might see the same cycle happen to the R16 and SP16 wads if Remington pulls the plug on either again--especially the SP16. Its the only 16 ga 1-1/8 ounce wad on the planet right now. I've got a lifetime supply laid up. You pilgrims can fight over them when I finally go under. Pardon me if I take my time. Wink

16gg that not exactly true. The Gualandi 1618 wad which is also referred to as the Active G28 is a 1 1/8th ounce wad. I know you'll start your diatribe about short wad cups but in the end you still haven't proved to me or anyone else that the Gualandi wad patterns any worse than the Remington wads.

There is also a 1-1/8 oz. Cheddite wad available from Graf (part number CH1632).
