Any cracks in the wood on the modified A-5? Do you know what the actual choke measurement is on the modified gun? (I'm guessing around .640") Does this gun have screws or pins in the small holes on the bottom of the receiver? (I'm not sure when they swapped from screws to pins...)

Thanks,

Ditto, any cracks in the wood, especially where the forearm meets the receiver? Thanks.

Thanks for the questions. I posted a few more close-up pictures on each gun.

The 28" Modified gun does NOT have the typical cracks in the forearm. If you remove the forearm you can see one piece chipped out of the "lip" that aligns with the receiver, but that is not visible when assembled.

Both have the screws rather than pins in the small holes on the bottom edge of the receiver.

The CYL gun does have two fine splits in the forearm, but both are tight and show no sign of movement.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Cass

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question about the choke dimension. I don't have a proper gauge or micrometer, but using a scale with 5/100 increments that looks about right.
