WINCHESTER ‘M21’ in 16 Gauge
Offering: Winchester Model 21 16 gauge, 28” SR barrels, choked factory modified and full.. Mftr. 1951. Serial no. range 237XX. Single selective trigger, straight grip/shallow field beavertail with dimensions of 1-1/2” x 2-1/4” x 14-1/2” to the original Winchester solid red recoil pad. Highly figured factory stocks account for an overall weight of just under 7- ½ lbs., though you’d be hard pressed to tell from the way it handles.
Condition: Gun is still in original condition as received from Don Criswell Ltd. some ten years ago with: 99% to 100% metal finishes on frame and furniture; 98% barrel blue - due only to slight brightening at muzzle edges; and 97% wood as a result of a few very minor handling marks. The gun is mechanically perfect w/excellent screws, bores, etc…. still being very snug to open and close. Barrels ‘regulate’ dead on. Gun letters from Cody as a pistol grip buttstock, but was returned to New Haven at some point for the straight grip version. Overall workmanship, dimensions, and serial number stampings in both the forearm and buttstock wood are in keeping with factory Winchester.
Transaction Details: FFL required, as is a Certified Check or Postal money order. Standard 3-Day Inspection. Gun will ship ‘USPS’ Registered Mail/ Insured anywhere in lower 48, with the requirement that it be returned the same method –should you ‘not accept’ it. Price of $7,100.00 plus shipping.
