I am looking for a source of load data for 1 1/4 ounce load. The only data I could locate was for Winchester 571 powder. I have every kind of hull, wad on hand already, I just need reliable data.

Yes I know 1 1/4 ounce is a very heavy load for my 16, but I want the option for one particular use.

Alliant lists one 1 1/4 oz load on their website using a Federal Hull, Fed 209A primer, 30.5 grains of bluedot, and a remington SP-16 wad (1260 fps, 10,200 psi).

What is your intended use for a 1 1/4 oz load?

Low Pressure Group has about 30 1 1/4 oz loads listed on the new spread sheet.

OC, the Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook, the Reloading For Shotgunners manual and BPI puts out; The 16 Gauge Manual. These are all good sources for more 1 1/4oz recipes. The LPG spreadsheet I looked at had 3-1 1/4oz recipes. Good luck, Mike

I have several, can't say I have hunted with any. But can give you some "recipies" if you wish.

Most are with Blue Dot, 4756 or Longshot and I think I have one or two using Alliant Steel powder. (which I have used for 10ga, and for 16 but was using hevi-shot)

Lyman's handbook lists several 1-1/4 oz loads. The one I use most is with the Federal hull, Remington SP16 wad, and Unique. It works.
