I bought my 1st bags of the DR16's as suggested and was disappointed that there was no loading data in the bags. Sure Hodgdon lists six 7/8 loads but I thought there would be a variety of data with my purchase.
Why no data from the manufacturer? I am sure they must have some. |

Hal
Have you not been reading the other posts?
These first wads were shipped to distributors BEFORE any loading was established and they were told to hold the wads until some limited data was found safe.
There is a little out there, but:
YOU are on the cutting edge of this wad, GOOD for you.

Yes-
I have read, purchased the wads, and posted on this topic early on--
Nevertheless I was disappointed that there was no data included with the wads. INHO the manufacturer should be a source for this basic information. |

I looked at the Hodgden site for reloading data. It lists 29 different 7/8 oz loads using the DR wad. Unfortunately it is only for Remington SP and Winchester X-Pert hulls. I think the Winchester hulls are the same as the Super X I shoot and the SP is the same as the black hull. The loads are only for two powders though. It is a good start though. It would be nice if Aliant powder would develope some data for their powders. I have a feeling it will take a little time, but I'm sure more data will follow. |
