Took several boxes of factory ammo to the club---Upon opening the second box I noticed different diameter of bases-Ended up with eight 12 gauge shells(black RGL's)-who shoots a 12 gauge anymore these days --My bet is one of the employees dropped a few boxes of 16 and 12's threw 25 in a box and went home --the flat was opened up before I bought it for some reason???Just something to keep in mind--- Hope the shooter with the 12 also recognizes the difference |

Several years ago while hunting with a group of younger hunters I had a like situation. We had placed our vests with shells in the back seat and headed out for a day of hunting. When we arrived one young man got out and put his vest on. He noticed a few extra red shells laying in the seat and picked them up and placed them in his vest. An hour out and a few shots later he put a 16ga compression hull into his semi and low and behold it droped right down the barrel. Lucky for me he was close to the truck. He could have been walking a long ways without shooting. When we all returned to the truck I got an ear full obout the @#$%^& 16ga red hulls. All ended well in this case.
Best,
Ron |
