RGW,
Please sign me up for the reloading group. I have a 1889 Remington in 16 gauge and would be interested in effective black powder loads. Thanks |

Guys:
If you are interested in joining our reloading group, please send me a pm. Otherwise I will not know you are interested. Posting on this string does not notify me of your interest. A direct PM is the best method. I am alert to PMs. Thanks. Russ |

RWG
I may not have any new ideas, but I certainly have wants and needs regarding loading components for my new 16. I just joined the 16 Ga Society and I’m thinking that the 16 Ga. Low Pressure Reloading Group is a must. How do I join?
I checked my 16 Ga. loading components and found about a 1/2 bag of old Remington PP16 wads and maybe 75 hulls. My thoughts are to acquire as many different wad/hull components as possible and load up a few shells using different components and pattern them from each barrel. After I find the best load for my 16, I will buy the wads/hulls in quantity. I have not used Fioche loads or components-any comments? I live on a ranch that is located 2 and 1/2 hours from a sporting good store and they had two boxes of Feds that were on the shelf for two years. The problems are availability of hulls and wads, as in where do I get them. sign me up please. |

Can someone please send me the document that had 20-24 pages of relaoding data that was neatly typed out with all the variuos loads and data.
I am a member of the 16ga club and did send Russ my $20 to join and yes I'm set up with Yahoo. But somehow I lost that document and still have all the individual tests that are so poorly written that I can't read half of them.
Russ still hasn't responded to my request and I'm not sure why (perhaps he is sick or out of the country).
I need the data for Carter Spolar (Spolar reloaders) to set me up for the 16ga. Many thanks in advance.
Please forward to: rdtimmers@comcast.net |

Go to the Group Site and on the left there is a blue box with Home, Messages, Post etc. Click on Files and you will have all the info.

The group has some great reloading recipes. I can attest to Russ's favorite pheasant load for 16 ga. They smack the Roosters. (#5 shot)
I'm VERY please with this recipe.

In a field as obscure as re loading 16gauge shotshells almost any new information is highly valuable. I just joined the reloader group-I didn't like having to deal with Yahoo (I run a Dell homepage) but as I wade through the recipes much is gained, esp. the side notes that continue to expand my knowledge of the little known, like "hot-ness" of primers, the ergonomics of recoil, a cool way to shorten hulls...etc. etc. My wife won't even approach me when I'm on the site. "Controlled insanity," she calls it....ahhh....Sweet Sixteen.

I'm hoping someone can help. I have sent two PMs to RWG in the past month to join, but have not received a response. Am I doing something wrong? Really need to try some new recipes. Thanks for your help. |
