Set-up the 375 to load some Fiocchi hulls w/ 1 oz and Unique.
Charts say the "H" bushing should throw 20.2
Two different scales show it consistently throws 18.2 grains
I want 19.5 to 21.2 as shown in the 1998 Alliant manual.

So I mapped out what the PW bushings larger than H in the 12 gauge kit throw along with a few Hornady bushings:

Anybody have the same experience w/ the H/Unique combination at 18.2 grains?
Thoughts on what bushings y'all may be using to throw the range I'm looking for.
Figure it prudent to ask before I buy a collection that doesn't work...
Thanks,

Yes, Lawyers are happy
The Hornady bushing are marked with hole diameter
Just go up in bushing diameter until you get what you need

The bushing cart will only get you in the ballpark. Then you need to try different bushings. It is trial and error until you get what you need.
There will even be differences between powder batch numbers of the same powder. |

I load on a MEC 9000 and invariably have to go up at least two bushings to hit the nominal weight. One could ream the bushing to drop the stated weight, but then using it on a single stage press with its packing ability might mean an overweight charge. |

Sad but true on the legal size with so much stuff these days..... reloading or engineering.... so much for exercising a little professional judgement.
The real struggle is my "Just buy all of them" v/s being "tight as wall paper" (as the wife says) and not wanting to buy more than I need..... But its an investment
Thanks for the feedback folks..... In the absence of anecdotal evidence from others I'm aiming to buy the larger that H bushings (I, J, J1, K & L) in the PW 12 Gauge kit. That should suffice for my 12 and 16 gauge needs for now w/ the other smaller ones in my inventory.
Keep your powder dry,
