The Walmart nearest to me had the 1 1/8 oz. Federal "Hi-Brass Load" on clearance for $7/box. Don't know if you'll find that price at all stores, but might want to keep your eyes open just in case. |

Thank you for that!
You can check your local Walmart inventory at Brick Seek, it is pretty close to real time.
https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/
The UPC for #6 is 029465004521 and then type in your zip code and click check inventory. There are 7 boxes left at $7 locally for me. Been years since I have been inside a Walmart that will change tomorrow. Those are my go to grouse loads I am looking at 3 boxes on the TV stand right now.
The UPC for # 7.5 is 029465004538 and they have one box 40 miles away at $14.27. Hard pass on that.
Federal also makes the Game Shok in #4 but can't find a UPC or SKU for it. |

Thank you for the info fella's, I hit 6 different local walmarts this morning that produced 55 boxes. 44 boxes I paid $7 and 11 boxes was $4. Wish they would have all been $4 but I'm not complaining lol. |

1 1/8 wing shok 6s I don't know why they were $4 but I grabbed them. I bought them in Richmond Indiana and the web link cold iron listed showed them as $4. |

Thanks for the link to brickseek, Cold Iron.
I ended up with 13 boxes of the hi-brass Federal 6's from 3 different walmarts around here. 9 boxes were $7 and 4 boxes were $4.50.
The best part though is that there was a store showing 7 boxes of the Federal Top Gun 28 ga, 3/4 oz of 8's for $4.50 and the regular price is $7. So I thought I would grab them.
When I checked out, the price was $1.50 per box!! Could hardly believe it. |

That old Federal 1 1/8 oz. 6's is a fine bread and butter 16 gauge load, and I've taken many pheasants with them in my Rem. 11. They got very expensive and then when Gander Mountain was struggling they blew them out for $5/box. Black Belt and I scooped up what we could in our area. |

I just picked up 2 boxes at my local wallyworld for $4.50 each. I'm going to use the search feature to look in a bigger area.
Thanks for the tip! |

Yes, thanks mucho for the tip. I bought 2 boxes @ $4.48 at a local Walmart. I've killed many a pheasant with that load and even though I have a stockpile of 16 Ga. shells; that deal was too good to pass up. |
