Asking all of you with much more experience than me. Looking for a load for 16 gauge automatics, browning A-5 and CZ 241. Chedite hulls, 5-6 leadshot, powders that I have and can get locally. Titewad, Titegroup, and Lil-Gun. Oh and roll crimp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

What powder would you suggest? Another powder isn’t really an answer |

Hodgdon Universal or Unique and 1 oz #5 or #6 can be done if the components are available. |

Hodgdon reloading data center has some published recipes for those 2 powders in Ched hulls albeit in 2 3/4" hulls (Win poly=Ched) but if you focus on the loads on the lower end of the PSI offerings and roll crimp in those 2.62" hulls you should be OK. If too tight a fit, scrub off some shot to maybe 15/16 or 7/8oz and have at it. If concerned send a few in for testing=cheap insurance. |

Many excellent loads are available with those powders for your short chambered guns. 700X will work well for target and upland loads, and Longshot for heavy field loads. You could put together light 700X loads yourself based on the spreadsheets, but you might need to send the heavy Longshot loads out for testing. PM me if you want some ideas.
Titegroup is similar to 700X on the burn charts, so you could consider it as well. Titewad is probably too fast and Lil Gun too slow for ready use in 16ga applications.
