Inside the May '07 issue of Shooting Times, in the article, Choose your Sporting Clays Gun Wisely:
"...In the world of wingshooting there is nothing I love more than being in the field with a fine side-by-side double, and for this reason it is the type of gun I generally use at sporting clays. If I had to pick favorites they would be an L. C. Smith in 16 gauge, a Westley Richards in 20 gauge, an AYA and a Parker in 28 gauge, and an L. C. Smith and an Iver Johnson Skeet-er in .410 bore. The only thing I love more than shooting clay birds with those guns is shooting real birds with them." |

I can't help but wonder if he even fired a box of 16's in the past year |

Something like this 1920 16g LC Specialty?
Another gentleman of class, good taste, and discernment who recognizes the elegant grace of sweet Elsie
(BTW: Just came home from a gun show with a 1906 00 30" choked IC/IM 12g-oh the shame -to replace my designated S. Dakota pheasant whacker Sterly ) |

I know who Layne Simpson is but his preferences and opinions as well as those of the other paid shills in the monthly rags are of little concern to me. |

Hey Rev,
Is that yours? Was it left in the collection plate? Tell us more about it. |

Not to hi jack the thread, but my brother Rev, you must make the pilgrimage to the holiest of holies: the Flatwater shoot, April, 2008. Bring your dogs and the lovely Elsie. We will treat you to a little piece of heaven here on earth! We need you to come......
My brother, trust me, gunwriters are human too. I know, I met several at Flatwater. They look human, eat, drink, swap lies, and generally have an opinion just like you. Did one bite you when you were a babe? |
