I bid on the gun earlier and E-mailed the seller asking why the box also said English Wood when the gun has a pistol grip and why the box shows a regular Ithaca serial number instead of the special Quail number??.....He did not know...I dont think thats the right box for that gun????

I am probably one of the few people in the world who thinks most of the highly engraved guns showcased each year in Gun Digest are tacky. A little bit of scroll is about all I can stand on a gun. This Ithaca is one that, for me personally, just doesn't cut it.

I agree. Also depends on the quality of the engraving. This Ithaca is not high-grade, but it's not as tacky as the Browning 525 limited upland game series. My opinion is, either add a subtle amount of quality engraving or just leave it plain blue steel.

I've been expecting someone to comment on the 3" chamber!
