Hi evryone, new guy here. My father and I are 16 owners and entusiasts. We have an 870 16, 110016, and New England Firearms single shot 16. We are avid reloaders of many guages and calibers. We both hunt birds, squirrel, rabbit, and clay with our 16's and other guns. Hope to get lots of info and fun here. |

Hello, and welcome. I know you will meet a lot of interesting people here. I am a union machinist at Remington, Ilion. I have done machine cuts on the 16 ga. 1100 recievers and at least half of the newer 870's. I would like yor honest opinion of your guns. Thanks! |

Welcome to a great site. These guys here know everything there is about the 16 ga. Ask about loads, wads, guns, etc and you can get an answer or 3.
Again, welcome. |

Well if you did the cuts on the 870's I would say job well done. While my Wingmaster isn't a true 16 gauge frame it is a delightful gun to shoot.

Timberdoodle, thanks for helping make great guns. We have had no problems with them, and have killed a lot of clay, and occaisonal furry or feathery critters. |

Thanks! Believe me, we do try and are concerned about our quality. Most of us that is. But when a company employs about 2,000 people, there just naturally has to be an idiot stuck in there somewhere! |

No problem Joel, I had just wanted to say that a Remington Model 1100 was my first shotgun. I really want Remington to continue to thrive as an American gun company and really hope that they can continue to do so in these difficult economic times.
I do get frustrated with Remington over not understanding the weight issue of the 16ga 870/1100, but hey at least they are producing these two guns in 16 at all.
Cheers,
Brad |
